1988 - Birmingham Superprix - Photo IDs needed
I received those photos from a very friendly chap from an other forum: ** I am unable to ID the driver, I know it is during the 1988 6R4 race at the Birmingham Superprix. ** Correct me if I am wrong but are the drivers: The photo is Alex Banyard (#23) with Steven Harris (#6) and John Price (#3) in tow?

Hi The first image D585 BRT I'm pretty certain is Grant Shand. You are correct with the other photo of Alex Banyard, Steve Harris & John Price. Cheers, Dace :D

I am unable to ID the driver, I know it is during the 1988 6R4 race at the Birmingham Superprix. It's ex-BTCC racer and 6R4 guest driver for the day - Tim Harvey (No 17). You can tell it's Tim as the car carries Istel sponsorship down the side, and they sponsored his Production Saloon Car Championship Rover Vitesse.

Watched the video of this at the weekend. What a sight ! A full grid of 6R4's is certainly something to behold. Shows what a driver Tony Pond was - Pete Slights kept with him for a while but TP won by miles ! Garreth

So it must be during qualifying as Tim Harvey blew his engine and had to miss out of the race then? Thank you very much for IDing the photo. :D

Bigears have you got any more pictures of the metro's at birmingham? As I used to watch there when is was 5 and I have always lived not far from the bristol road where the start line was.
