I dont think you can turn the sound off. Ill have a look into it though. If I cant would people prefer a different layout?

I too could live with the new layout in time - but the beeping and jumping adverts are really annoying! I'm finding myself moving on to another forum in an attempt to avoid them - but they even carry on once I've minimised the forum and am looking at something else!

Have just been having a quick read into this and have found out that you can disable ads for a fee. Basically, because the forums are provided for free, the company that hosts it all get the money back by adverts. Which on the old forum layouts where in standard text. Whereas the new layouts all have gif files and the beeping. Alot of forum owners have complained about it aswell. I will see how much it is in the morning and pay for it. I would like to apologise to everyone for the hassle with it.

All sorted I have paid to have the ads removed for 30000 views. Ill keep topping it up now and then though. Thanks for your patience everyone and sorry once again :oops: :)
