Somebody's got a lot of pretty rare and ex-works stuff to get rid of - check Ebay at the moment !
I know how much I paid for my wheel fans so I wouldn't have thought the reserve is very low.

I don't think this sets a precedent. I can't see Ali making the same mistake twice

I have been away this week. Just came beck and saw that there are 11 or something bids on those carbon wheel fans on ebay. The guy clearly states on his description that he will not let them go for a bargain price. They are originals, not some mickey mouse GRP / Carbon, clipless, rubbish copies...
I dont understand the point of bidding £200, £300, £400 for these. It is just time wasting.... I had a spare set of these for sale for over two years because 4 seperate people (3 of them with historically significant cars)said "I'll have them don't sell them to anybody" came up with nothing... People just like messing around...
Jim, I know someone who has the 1985 RAC rally plate for my Peugeot. I can't prise it out of him either... Such is life.....
