Chris Wise Buys a Clubman 6R4 JUst heard that Chris Wise has bought a clubman 6r4 recently. Noticed a pic on Mark Lowes metro 6r4 online news with Mark himself in the drivers seat.
Whats your impressions of it Chris? have you got anything planned with it?

Well as the owner contacted me, I contacted Chris who asked me to lookout for a decent car for him. This came up and a deal was done

Saved from "being customised" as far as I am concerned!...

Saved from 'Being Customised'????

That does sound like an alarming fate for a 6R4,doesn't it Dan??
Which reminds me,I must finish fitting the neons to the underside of mine...
All the best,
Gary :)

Blimey chaps you lot are keen!
Yes I have a new addition in the garage and fair collection of spares to go with it.
We bought the car for a bit of fun over summer and a bit of an investment... fingers crossed. The car has just been for its MOT with Pete Slights the other weekend and flew through so it’s now on the road.
Car is very original and my idea was to convert it back to the original specification as it came with original forest dymags and new tyres. That will allow me to keep the tarmac dymags for "PRN" and compete on some hill climbs and speed events etc with “PRN”.
One thing I will say is that I have no intension of building the car for competition so it’s safe.
Thanks must go to Mark for finding the car in the first place and it was nice for him to call up and look over the car and drink all the buds from the fridge.
One other thing before anyone asks….. I was hoping to make a competition appearance at Chatsworth. I will not be able to do this at the moment as I foolishly offered to help a friend out at Weeton Army Camp. It’s a real shame really that the two events clash as we did enjoy last years event and we really wanted to do this event again.
Regards all
Chris

That was after I cut all the laggy bands from the buds and overheard on the phone "Quick Trace, hide the beer Marks on his way over"
And that room above the garage has my name on it :D

Chris, the plans for the car sound great and also with using PRN for hillclimbs, sprints etc with the tarmac dymags.
Its nice to hear that you wont be preparing the clubman car for competition, it looks just too nice and the clubman cars are getting rare in standard trim.
Maybe next year with chatsworth Chris.
