Do you remember the "Win a 6R4" competition?
I think it was in Autosport magazine,probably about 1987? I remember being too young to enter the comp (min.age was eighteen) but going in for it all the same! I believe there were a series of questions initially,followed by a driving competition to find a winner from those lucky readers shortlisted. I didn't win :( But I think the chap who did was called John Pick (this sticks in my mind as the article featuring him collecting the keys to his new Metro was entitled " John Pick(s) up his new car"...plus I was insanely jealous of the guy for many,many years! The therapy and tablets are now starting to take effect though... :shock: Are those details something like accurate,and did anyone else on here try their luck as well? Also,does anyone know what became of Mr Pick and his wonderful prize? All the best, Gary :)

I'm sure John still owns the car Gary. I remember the competition well, and was unfortunately old enough to enter, but I didn't? Both Peter Nott & Geoff Underhill reached the final few Gary - both of them later went on to become 6R4 owners, the former used his for rallying.
