Finally know what surgery im going to be having. Well, went to the specialist on thursday and have found out what im having done.thankfully dont need the realignment yet. But the bits the specialist is going to try first sound scarey enough as it is lol. Ill be in between the middle to the end of march.
- Cut 4 holes in my knee and get a camera inside
- Do keyhole surgery on my inside of my knees
- On the outside of my right knee, i willbe having a metal rod inserted to try and get my foot pointing straight.
But the specialist said, if it doesnt solve the problem its back to scratching his head :?
thanks for telling me that I thought lol

Hiya Nicky,
Like you say,it's good that they're not doing the whole re-alignment thingy. I hope this proceedure sorts everything out for you.
I had my right knee rebuilt after suffering a particularly nasty football injury about 5 years ago and,to be quite honest,it's the best bit of me now! Knee surgery is top class nowadays, and I'm sure they'll do a wonderful job for you.
All the best,
Gary.

Should of told him u can supply a camera and that will keep the costs down
As for re-alignment send your Knee to TAL as they are amazing at everything.
Seriously though hope it goes well for you

The specialist couldnt believe how buggered my knees were for a man at my age (22) but thats partly due to my job, and the buggers still give me all the heavey stuff to work :(
Many thanks for the comments guys much appreciated.

New knee feels great ! Apart from the bloody huge mummy style bandage that means I can't bend it.....
They won't let me drive for two weeks (even though I've hired an automatic and its my left leg) so I'm having to cadge a lift to work.

Glad it went well mate. You need to do the physio they give you - no pain,no gain ! and its worth it long term.
I often faint in the bog - usually Sunday mornings after 9 pints of Guinnes and a curry
Speedy recovery !
