Im sure i have got a clip of him on that event somewhere Mark, thats if Per Eklund was on the same event as Per was on the same footage, with a couple of 037's and 205 t16s etc.

The event you're thinking about is the 1986 Martini Costa Smeralda in Italy between 16-19 April.
Both Per Eklund / Dave Whittock and Geoff Fielding / John Robinson con-*test*-('")ed this rally in C730 HOF and C288 JFM respectively, and both retired following an accident!

The footage i have of Fielding on the Costa Smeralda, was C288 JFM a clubman version?

No problems Nicky - happy to help.
I'm not sure of C288 JFM's exact specification by the time April 1986 came around, it might have been gradually upgraded throughout the season.
Certainly of all the R-E-D cars, Geoff's certainly wasn't top priority.
