Of course you're very welcome here, sionlad!! :D The forum caters for all 6R4 enthusiasts,as do the other excellent Metro sites available.
As Garreth says,it'd be great to see some pics of your car if you get a chance - it sounds very interesting. There are several excellent replica 6R4s around and I'm sure the owners have picked up a lot of useful info on here.
What are your plans for the car?
All the best,
Gary :)

Hello Sionlad firstly welcome to the forum, we hope you enjoy posting on here :D
Of course we wouldnt hate you for having a 6R4 replica, we welcome anything 6r4 related regardless of how many wheels do the driving or engine thats behind you or even in the front in some cases.
If you want to email the pics to me at nicky6r4@hotmail.com I will upload them for you.
It sounds an interesting car and cant wait to see the pics :D

That things crazy  have you used a shogun for parts of that more of a baja job is it!or do you use it for stages!!
rogue- 03-07-2008
Hi si.
Observant of you.
The rims are actualy isuzu with the middle machined out,
Shogun 1998 uprights, BMW diffs front and back, special made middle shaft to go from BMW inner CV to Shogun outer CV.
Home made wisgbones.
Twin coilovers on each corner
2 gear transfer box at the front, M3 3ltr engine to a 6 speed box, fiddle brakes,
All in a space frame with full fibreglass body, (doors are steel) i cant find fibreglass doors at the rite money,
Took a long time to build (about 2 1/2 yrs) from scratch. but well worth it.
A lot of fun to drive.
I do "off road" events in it, very similar to stage rallying but cheaper event costs.
Best thing i can say to you is, keep at yours, burn the middnite oil regular and it will all be worth it.
You have to be comitted tho ( or should that be i need comitting) I am sad and dont do anything else (because i enjoy it).
I am in the garage every nite till 9.0 working on it doing something,
But what ever floats your boat i say, as long as it doesnt harm anybody else.

what kind of roll cage have you got is it fia legal can you race with it?i have a cage in my replica but it seems to be out of sumthing else bit of a home made job,did you build yours?
rogue- 03-08-2008
Hi si.
my cage is MSA spec, i made it myself. The car is built for competition, all i do is race it, but it is road legal, correct log book as a 6R4 (rep), taxed, MOT and insured for road use.
