Jersey Rally 2008
7 and a bit months to go and Adrian Smekks told me he will be there again and some others expressed an interest about doing the event. From now till October I will be publicising this event in the hope more 6R4'S come and do it as the event i'm told will suit the cars more this year where else can you go to see such a closed event on an island 9x5 miles with a mad pissup to boot at the hotel where most stay

Cheers Nick I will publicise the event on my site and the 6R4 Forums Got a few people enquiring so if I keep them upto date with details there could be a few there this year Good flights there from East Midlands hehe

The event this year is rumoured to be more open and not tight n twisty so it will suit the Metros' and the Darrians

I believe so we alternate the set of stages every 2 years with a few changes to the routes here and there. Can't wait for it would like to be in the co drivers seat or if plenty of 6R4's are over watching wont be bad either. Cheers Ben

Yeah it would be nice see a few 6R4's over and put an end to the Escort domination :wink: As Mark said earlier the stages are more open than last years event. Its only been won by a Metro/Dam 4100 twice (in the 25 years) 1 a piece so would be nice to have a third win :P

Adrian Brown who has done the rally before in his MK1 Escort is hoping to get a run this year in his 6R4 as with a few others Flight and hotel booked again Just need to hook up with Ross De Biasi if he's up for stage watching again

How long are you going to be over for?? Yeah Ross will be in some nice places this year as JJ will be sorting him out again. Would it be possible to tell me who is interested in entering? Even by PM. Thanks Ben

I was with Ross for all the stages we did last year. mint event hope the weather is as good as its been for the past two years. We fly in on the Thursday and back out on the Tuesday. Metro drivers include Adrian Smekks again, Adrian Brown, Mark Jasper was looking into it I mentioned it to Craig Bennett from Northern Ireland, Chris Tilly wants to do it and might be looking for a contributing co driver and hopefully Chris can persuade Simon Gudgeon or even John Indri but nothing definate there JJ sorted us well with locations last year Looking forward to the party in the Merton again if we can get to the bar

I think Mark Jasper would be awesome to watch round the lanes of Jersey, would be good to see John Stone down there, especially after his excellent pace on the Jim Clark the other weekend :D
