Malcom Watson Rally, Sculthorpe, Norfolk, Sunday 15th April
Howdy Folks, We have entered a single venue airfield event in Norfolk next weekend. 6x 12 mile long stages, should get through some tyres! Tal are servicing, so should get through a few barcardi and cokes on Saturday night in Fakenham. Graham Goffey is seeded car 1 in his £120k WRC Scooby, so we will se how 22 year old technology can keep up. Have dug out an old CoDriving friend who lives in Suffolk to sit in with us for this one. The curious missfire returned again, so 3 poor stage times. Time for a motec? Cooked center diff powersliding around on 18 mile long stages with overheated tyres!. Engine so loud when on full chat didnt hear navigators call that flying finish was on opposite side of track, so missed crossing timming beam, and got a stage maximum. Had a nice pub lunch on the way home instead! Roll on Millbrook at end of May.
