Dave, sorry ot hear you wont be able to make it. It wont be the same without yourself Mark and Roy.
The printing company my dad works for have printed me about 80 6r4.net leaflets that I designed foc, they are mainly for owners that might be interested in the 6R4.NET display at the rally show at chatsworth but I'll still hand them out incase some fans might be interested in joining the forum.

Well done Nicky - big push with owners and enthusiasts over the weekend to spread the word, the gospel according to 6R4.net!

Having waited 6 months to get my car sorted, Got it moted and insured for todays road section to/ from sea front, unfortunatly tax disk didnt arrive in post intime for road section to scruitineering, so will try for Somerly parade lap instead.
Good luck to all competitors
Captain Chaos- 02-22-2008
Typical Roger - you do all you can to get the car ready, and then you are let down by bureaucracy and red tape!
Hope all goes well tomorrow.

Well what an absolutely fantastic event that was :D
Got to the hotel in bournemouth on the friday with about an hour and a half before the metros were due to do their demo runs. Hada walk down and waited till the noise of the first 6R4 was coming which was john Melling in the ex David Llewellin rac 86 car.
It was a little disspointing though as only another 5 or 6 metros were on after that. Which turned out due to a 15 minute delay as a spectator had an accident.
Watched the main rally throught hte stage which was ok, likeing the sound of hte 6r4s but didnt manage to see either Sandy Arubuthnott, or Craig Bennet's metros which I was gutted about.
Also the fact that Jimmy McRae didnt turn up due to something with his flight was cancelled. The organisers did offer him a flight to heathrow and then get a minibus or something to bournemouth which from what the organisers where saying he declined. Bit of a shame really when he was the headliner for the weekend and I suppoe some people went just to see him in a 6R4 again. :(
Anyway after having a full english breakfast :) Me and Garyh went to somerley park to see the whole display and demo runs.
Straight away we met Garreth and Ian Rowlance (6r4.com on here) and Ian's mechanic/mate.
When we got off the minibuss to take us from the carpark to the stage, we all of a sudden saw just a massive line of 6R4's from the back :D
Due to the time we got there and that the demo runs where only 30 minutes away, I got the incar camera fitted with Ian in his jag V6 metro. Got it all setup and was chuffed to bits when Ian asked if I wanted to get in his v62v metro with his mechanic for the demo run for the photoshoot.
It was an amazing ride, even though we were pottering about with the odd bit of foot down by Ians mechanic. It was amazing to be in a 6R4 on such a big occasion for the car.
I dont think anyone could believe that Ian won the concours award with the v62v motor, especially Garreth
Ian was then talking to John Davenport whilst given his award and had some pitctures taken of him with, John Davenport and Rob Arthur.
After that, I spent most of the time trying to take as many pics as possible but as there so many people surrounding the cars, I thought it was best to wait for the main rally to turn up so they would clear off and give me time to get a few shots
Took loads whilst the rally was on and also speaking to many 6R4 owners and fans, plenty of people of here aswell which was nice.
A great surprise was when I heard an Irish accent say "Hey Garreth its Gerrard off the 6R4 forum"
What a top bloke Gerrard is, telling us all about the story of how he got his 6R4 and also about his RS200 replica, and his plans for his 6R4 when finished, its going to be one amazingly quick 6R4 for the road Gerrard :D
I would like to thank GaryH for picking me up on the way down to the event it is really appreciated. Also to Garreth for taking me in style from the stage to the car park in his 6R4. And also to the 6R4.COM team who where very nice and for taking me round the demo stage for the photo shots in the v62v motor :D
Was very nice to see people off here that I havent met before and have a chat with, nice to put a face to the names :)
There is also loads of other stuff I could go on about but will post more tomorrow when I have recoverd from a memorable day for me.
Will get a couple of pics put up in the gallery in abit.
By the way Mark I got you, David and Roy a programme each seeing as you werent there, if you pm me your address ill try and get them sent out on monday for you :)
