Yes a skyline engine was definately going in it when I was speaking to Roger Binyon last year about it. Ill ask Roger at the weekend if thee is any more news. Be interesting to see what spec the engine will be as the skylines can push 1000bhp :shock:

Levi 501 sometimes comes on here so he can update current rebuild. I gave him the shell after he stripped all the old 6r4 parts of, as spares for my car. Unfortunatly the Nissan project is so time demanding he spends most weekends offering Fabricated things up and welding them to the chassis, so doesnt have time to help me out anymore. Ive lent him loads of bits to try to find something that will fit. Im -*test*-('")ing my car at a basingstoke csma -*test*-('") day on 13th April, so hopefully his car will be up and running this year. It was a great handling car, I did rallys and Rallycross in it, I had 280bhp through gartrac fwd box, and a handbrake to make the backend do something!

Gartrac should of made it RWD from the start

I never knew that it was FWD :o Bet that was a bit of a shock for Gillanders going from his 6R4 to the montego. All the best at basingstoke next month Roger :)

It had 200 bhp with Gillanders, 250bhp with Garry Wilson in turbo form, and 290 bhp with a Cosworth engine I fitted. It was brill over rough stages with huge suspension travel, and a handbreak to get the steering to work, Brill car, got a bit tatty towards the end of its live, but ready to live again as a rising sun

How long does your friend with the montego think it will be before he has got it on the road Roger? Cant wait to see some pics of it when complete. Should look nice!
