Have many owners made the switch to motec?

Hi, We have made the switch to a Motec M600 with all the tricks. However, this is on the new jaguar engine. There are many advantages with switching to the Motec except for cost!!! But you DO get what you pay for !!!! We have them available on www.6r4.com Cheers Ian

Me too but without the bells and whistles (ie no Lambda sensers etc), fitted in the standard Micos case. Garreth

Are there any Rolling Roads in the Midlands area that have run up 2.5 metros before, and know what there looking for on the Lucas system. Id be intrested to know what the power band and Torque band is, run some different msa approved fuels for a good burn at 10k rpm, and to cure a missfire ive had since feb last year. Mark slater had a Motec system on my car before I had it, but removed it after an engine failiure, just in case.

Are all the lucus sensors the same as the type needed for Motec. who makes a wiring kit to convert connectors?

my car has finaly had its motec fitted by Owen developments in Abingdon, going -*test*-('")ing to make sure all mapped ok at Turweston airfield, Daventry at 11.30 on Thursday 15th Nov. Will be intresting to see how much more drivable it is with the newer electronics. Looking forward to joining in the 6r4 parade on the sunseeker rally, Bournmouth in feb next year, anyone else going?

I'm finishing the job properly by having missing bells and whistles fitted (twin Lambdas, data logging etc). Ian is fitting / remapping it soon. Garreth

I wish Id used Ian, Rear diff casing managed to blow itself up whilst not being used for 5 months, Hopefully better luck falls my way in 08!
