Camping in Derbyshire is great lads - take my word for it, I've done it enough times to know what I'm talking about! I hope you kept that one from the wife David about you camping around a field

How much are the tickets, and do you think my wagon would be ok as a motorhome, i transport my car in it and live in the front (looks like a horsebox but with a car in the back instead), Its only a 71/2 tonner.

Metro 6R4 Online News- 02-25-2008

I'll stick summat on my site too Nicky if you wish send me some details or a piece and I will ad it now or nearer the date

Nicky and I discussed the Chatsworth weekend on our way back from Bournemouth and I'm SO looking forward to it,although the prospect of camping fills me with dread! I've had one or two less than pleasant experiences under canvas in the past (!) but I guess a p*ss up with a bunch of 6R4 enthusiasts would go a long way toward making the experience memorable for the right reasons! :D So count me in,even if the accomodation is less than 4* All the best, Gary :)

How about this one chaps... www.greenhillsholidaypark.co.uk - a pleasant, well appointed site set in the heart of the Peak District National Park just a mile from the picturesque Derbyshire town of Bakewell. <*>4 miles east of Chatsworth! <*>Tent + 2 adults £19 per night inc electric hook up! <*>Pup Tent or Gazebo £5.00 per night! <*>Extra Adults £5.00 per night! <*>Stable bar - dispensing a good variety of draught and bottled beers! <*>Free hot water to showers, washbasins, and pot washing facilities and adjoining laundry room. OK, it isn't tremendously cheap, but then again it does have some fairly decent facilities. If you want cheap, there are plenty of farmers fields. However a lot of these camp sites do not permit a group of same sex individuals, ie all blokes in particular! I think they have had previous bad experiences with riotous stag nights, etc so that might be an issue. To get around this, I suppose we book separately then. Unless you think it's worth just booking and see what they say. I think their minimum weekend booking is Friday 12 Noon - Sunday 12 Noon, ie two nights. Has anybody else looked for a site or found anything more suitable?

garreth- 02-26-2008

That'll do for me Dave. How do you want to sort this out ? Best if we all book individually ? Garreth

Rallying- 02-26-2008

Thanks dave,is everyone going to go for this campsite then cos i im going to get it booked soon Dan

Nicky, i think i have Warren Philikirks phone number at work. Let me know if you if you still need it,

6r4nicky- 03-03-2008

Hi Rogue many thanks for the offer of Philiskirks phone number, I have got his email address now thanks. I had a very positive email just from the organisors aswell :) "Given the relevance of your anniversary this year we will definitely give your dislpay prominance over the weekend. John and I have been putting together some ideas to help you out, when he is back from Mallorca and get a chance to streamline them one of us will be in touch." Before I forget I have also just emailed the camping site regarding taking trailors onsite as I noticed on the site it says no transit vans or comeercial vehicles. I will let everyone know the news when I hear it.

I will be surprised if you get an answer back from warren this side of christmas. He hates doing e mails, and his spelling is worse than mine.
