Great news , a mega entry list of metro drivers like Tony Davies, Peter Lloyd, Steve Furzeland, Mark Jasper, Lyndon Barton, John Stone etc, are all up competing up on the ranges next weekend, but there all now in rice rockets. A brave day for marshals and scruitineers!. The rain was appauling causing cancelation of the last stage, but then most of the top runners were excluded for a fuel fiasco due to various reasons. My own event started with a nightmare, as only running on standard SUL fuel, but non was availiable from stations in LLandovery, Brecon ran out, so had to drive all the way back to Crickhowel to fill up 6 jerry cans of Optimax to last 80 stage and 80 road miles. Drove steady in the monsoon all day to get a finnish in the new car ( now done 300 miles over the last 5 years). 18th O/A. John Price was also out playing in his, but retired. I felt sorry for John Stone/ Tony Davies/ Mark Jasper etc who have moved on and now run £100k+ WRC spec cars (that were built for FIA 102 octane fuel) that now have to reset there ecus for MSA prefered 100 octane fuel, and provide -*test*-('") points for samples to be taken. Removing there clever diffs is next on the agenda. Perhaps the simpler old tractors will come back into fasion again. Next outing is Montberg rallsprint in May

Rodge, do you have a co driver sorted for Monteberg as I can sort you out with a good english speaking belgian guy or even Martin Prestage who lives in Belgium and has done this event before when I was servicing with a team over there

Just sent some news and pics to a Belgian friend who runs a news site about Roger con-*test*-('")ing the event The Belgians will love to see that car there. I'm working on going over but nothing definate yet

I would love to go over and watch it and put the camera in a 6r4 but i dont have a passport so the montebergs truly out of my hands :(
