WANTED LAMP POD
Hi All, I have taken a late entry for next weekends Tour Of Cornwall Rally. Unfortunately just found out there will be 6 short night stages, 4 on Friday night and 2 on Saturday night. Bit of a long shot but would anyone lend me or let me hire a lamp pod for the weekend? A bit cheeky perhaps but desperate measures! Chris

You should have bought the 4x Cibies on a 6R4 mounting frame I had on ebay 10 days ago.... Sold for just £103..... to a Escort Mk2 guy who bought it just for the lamps. METRO 6R4 CIBIE SUPER OSCAR LAMPS AND MOUNTING FRAME Item number: 190085923058 You may want to contact him to get the frame and mount some lamps on it as a last resort perhaps?....

Have you tried contacting John Indri? Im sure he would have one or two lamppods but lending them or hiring out might be a different thing im afraid. There is a phone number for him on Mark Lowes 6r4onlinenews site :)

Are you doing Monteberg this year ? I can't believe it has already been a year!.. I seems only a few months ago!! I don't know Mark but, I doubt it... I haven't even washed the car since it came back!....

Chris, I also have a 4 light "on the bonnet" type pod that came with one of my cars. I don't think it has ever been on so, it needs first time fitting if you know what I mean?... It can either be fitted with 4-6 Dzus type quarter turn fasteners with some encouragement or if you have a spare bonnet you can bond it on with fibreglass... It is even wired.. you can have it for £50 + P&P If you let me have your email I can send photos....

Thats a shame as a few Belgian mates where asking me on MSN if you where going back and it is hoped there will be a few more Metros there. I also know a couple of guys wanting to co drive on Monteberg in 6R4's if poss

If you're ever needing lamp pod to use in the future then I can help out since I'm not using mine. It is made of Kevlar and is fully wired with lights and brackets.
