Thanks. I just stumbled across the forum when searching for info on the prototypes. I went to Gaydon last week and spotted one in a fenced off section round the back of the museum. It didn't look very cared for and it got me wandering what happened to the others (I can think of 4 prototypes but I'm not sure the exact number built). I've always been a 6R4 fan since I spent most of my childhood in the paddock at Rallycross meatings when there were more 6R4's than anything. My dad used to compete in Rallycross and was offered a brand-new 6R4 for £15,000 back in the day. Sadly he didn't have the money at the time :( Since then I've always wanted one for myself, but as a road car :)

Your father isnt Dave Ward is it?

No...Chris Ward. He raced a Mini no.187 and later a Sierra XR4x4.
